2025 TRADITIONAL CHANGES,
Traditional Archery has shown steady growth over the last couple of years within the 3Di / IBO format.
Currently there are (6) Traditional Classes catered for within the 3Di Tournament structures with a 7th ST Class newly included, but not yet ratified, in the 2025 Draft Rules,
These 6 are : Youth Traditional, Female Traditional, Traditional, Longbow, Vintage & Female Vintage,
In an effort to change things up and grow this format, we’ll be introducing some initiatives in 2025 that will ensure these free spirited shooters flourish on the 3D Ranges in addition to funding backstops for our Traditional Ranges. The implementation of these initiatives, and at what event they will feature, will be left to the 2025 TRAD Committee,
These changes will include, but not be limited too :
* TRAD 3D Hunters Challenge,
* TRAD Race 2 the Buckle,
* TRAD Last Man Standing,
* TRAD Team Competitions,
* TRAD Guest Pass,
TRAD 3D Hunters Challenge,
Along with the ‘Last man Standing’ events this fun Challenge event will be held at Provincial and or Invitational events only, This initiative will contribute to the 2025 Trad BackStops,
At the discretion of the TRAD Committee the format will be finalised at the start of each tournament,
Options are :
* (6) Class Leaders + (2) WildCards,
* Top 2 Archers in each class + (4) Wildcards,
* Ties are broken with a Single arrow closest to the centre,
The 3D Hunters Format will operate as follows :
* The Range will feature (3) 3D Targets set at unknown distances NO further than 25y,
* Buy in will be R50,
* The 8 or 16 Brackets will be allocated at Random by the TRAD Committee,
* The Hunter Challenge brackets will be informed by your ranking off the Range,
* Format will be Single Arrow elimination, closest to the centre of the 11,
* The 4 or 8 winners will proceed to a next unfamiliar target until a single winner remains,
* Ties are broken with a single arrow closest to the centre of the 11,
* If an Archer is absent / chooses not to attend the Hunters Challenge, her opponent will receive n bye,
* 3Di will ensure the Targets are set up and will Sponsor the 2025 3D Hunter Trophies,
* Trophies, are awarded at the events Prize Giving Ceremony,
Race 2 the Buckle,

TRAD Last Man Standing,
Along with the 3D Hunters Challenge, this fun event will be held at the same time as the IBO Shoot-Outs scheduled at each Leg of the 3Di Triple Crown,
This initiative will contribute to the 2025 Trad BackStops,
The LMS Format will be :
* Buy in will be R50,
* Each archer will start with ONLY 3 Arrows in his/her quiver,
* A Large 2D / 3D Target is placed at an unknown distance less the 20y,
* All arrows not striking the Vitals / 8 Ring are removed and placed NEXT to the Target,
* Shooters move back in 5y increments with ONLY the remaining arrows in their quiver,
* This will continue until ONLY 1 Shooter remains,
* With less than 3 Shooters remaining … the tie can be broken with a closest arrow to the centre,
Again with only the arrows left in your quiver,
* 3Di will Sponsor the 2025 TRAD 3D Showcase Trophies,
* Trophies are awarded at the Prize Giving Ceremony,
Team Competitions,
Teams Competitions will now be available to TRAD Open Classes,
* A Team will consist of (4) Shooters with the Top 3 scores to count on the Day,
* Teams can be Mixed / Clubs / Families or a Group of friends, but you may only enter 1,
* Medals will be awarded at each Competition where a Team Competition is offered,
* Team names are loaded onto the Tournament Manager and administered by the Club Captain,
